Congratulations to our newest Introduction to Nose Work (1) graduates! On March 8, these great pups and their handlers completed the six-week course. They learned how to search for food in boxes, out of boxes, and on objects in the room. We even did one class on how to search a vehicle.
The main goal of this first session is for the dogs to develop their independent hunting skills, as well as gain confidence and focus. The handlers learn how to manage the leash while the dog is searching, and improve their dog observation skills. (Can you tell when your dog is smelling pee vs. searching for food?) All the dog/handler teams were nose-work rock stars!
Congratulations to all our graduates:
